The “Cornishville Road” Collage

Inspired by the picture perfect view of rolling hills just behind the house, Dan and Mary wanted a requested that the piece speak to the land around their new house. The free standing collage sculpture features over 10 different native woods, and gives the impression of the hills, trees, and sky as one singular system. Every piece relying on the next and all working together to bind the piece as a unit.

A hidden internal joinery system connects each piece and insures that the shrinking and swelling of each wood block can happen without compromizing the structure as a whole.
